I went to see my dress and I loved it a little more. I have a growing faith that it will be amazing come July 1. Susan pulled out almost 4 yards of material since the last time I saw it so it was much lighter and easier to wear PLUS there were less pins which felt better on my bare skin.
Susan has found the perfect ribbon in just the right shade and I can't wait for my next fitting (May 9th).
I can't tell you much, which makes me wish this was more of a journal and less of a blog, but I am excited none the less.
As for the rest of the wedding... we make another (and biggest) venue payment on the 1st, which will mean we only owe $1500 on the remaining balance and the wedding will be paid for soon! Yay! Because honestly trying to pay for all this stuff is stressful and I will be so relieved when everything is sorted out after the wedding... when the dust settles and my Visa can take a much needed nap.
We finalized all most of the gifts... the Dads are tricky to buy for, but the bridal party is done and so are the Moms. I think every gift is personal and amazing. I can't wait for June 30th, when we can hand them out, really say thank you and get on with the show.
We meet with Bruce (minister) on Sunday to go over our readings and ceremony structure. We have picked a beautiful reading to include, we were going to leave it all up to Bruce, but thought it would be nice to include something we hand picked.
I also found a reading from Dr. Suess I want to incorportate, but selling it to Richad has been challenging. He just doesn't see my vision. ha!
I have a third attendant and I am SO excited about it, but I can't share that news in its entirety until April 7th. I know the waiting game AGAIN!
We cancelled our midnight surprise... give the circumstance it just didn't make sense, so we have one less cake, but I think there will be enough food that no one will notice.
What else??? I finished the table 'numbers' and Richard printed out the pictures...
Fun, right?! And we're starting to get RSVPs which I LOVE, because that means I can finalize the seating chart, which thus far has been my favorite task. Once that is done I can working on the poster/name card which is even better. So much yet so little left to do.
As for the whiney post about getting nothing for me... F*CK it. I signed up with a personal trainer last night (yay) and I am starting tanning in late April. I will be stunning... even if I have to go broke to do it. Can't spend $20,000 on a reading and than have an ugly, pastey bride. Its just wrong. You'll have to check my fitness blog for an update on the training though... it hurts when I am doing it and I don't want to write about... twice.
Ok... I have rambled, but I think you're all caught up.
Whewf!
Love!
