You see, I have A LOT of hair... even more since I have been growing it out for the wedding. It comes to JUST above my bum and without considering length I have A LOT of hair... its thick, very thick. So thick, if I ever venture to a new stylist they ask 'doesn't it hurt your neck' and 'hey, jenny come feel this, have you ever felt something so thick' (hehe).
BUT Wanda knows my hair and has been doing it since I was 12. She has dyed it black, bleached it blonde, cut it short and watched it grow. She has intervened when I thought I wanted a perm (thank you) and fixed many at home mistakes. This is why even when it didn't look like it would work out, I held out for Wanda. I need Wanda... so on Saturday I met with Wanda. We had an hour and a half... and I think we nailed it.
I wanted 'celebrity' hair... thick, voluptuous curls... slightly up on the front, nothing complicated, but something fancy for me. Richard requested I wear my hair down... he also requested straight, but I feel like that is today every day for my wedding day.
So we curled... every hair with a curling iron.
I need to get a BIG flower for the right side, but you get the idea. It should hold curl all night and look great blowing in the breeze, which there should be just off the water.
And I am glad I booked Wanda months ago... I am her FOURTH bride that weekend. Eee!
Ok... that's it.
Next week is our final consultation with the florist (Don) and photographer (Ken). I am excited to talk about the little details and finalize everything.
The following week we meet with the venue for a final details meeting and to go over everything with Natalie to make sure Brenda didn't screw anything else up ;)
Then its my BACHELORETTE and Richard's STAG... THEN its my final dress fitting and the cottage weekend and then... AND THEN we're getting married.
So much to do, but so much already done.
Love!
