I entered a contest to win my dress... not only that, but a trip to New York City to meet with Randy from 'Say Yes to the Dress'.
I didn't make the top 20, but below is my entry.
"I can't believe you you lied to ME!" she was mad. She had every right to be. Not only had I confessed to being in love, but I confessed to doing it all without sharing it with her and considering I met the guy because of her... it hurt.
As I tried to calm her and explain everything, I thought about the past few weeks. The whirlwind relationship that had blossomed between two broken hearts. I thought about the man I was risking it all for. I battled with the idea that FATE had brought us together and fate would determine our future.
When we finally exchanged numbers and spoke candidly I knew he was it for me. He was patient and sensitive, thoughtful and sexy. He was the man I had dreamt of. The real fate didn't kick in until later. We
first met on August 8th, his late uncle's birthday and finally connected on Sept 7th, my Nana's birthday. Somewhere in heaven our two biggest supporters had successfully acted out a plan to show us true love.
My best friend stopped yelling and stared at me for a second. "You look happy." I smiled "I am happy". She hugged me and on July 1st, she'll stand beside me as I marry the man of my dreams.
Fate took care of everything. This is my love story."
Keep in mind I had only 1500 characters to express the true emotion of Richard and I. I don't know how I didn't win... lol
