Kidding! Well... no it is actually 377 days until we get married, but I will NOT be doing a daily countdown. I am finally getting excited about the wedding and after months of debates we have decided to keep our beautiful venue.

We've taken another big step in the wedding direction, aside for the venue we've only confirmed the photography - Trigger Happy Photography and this weekend we finally met Ken (of Trigger Happy Photography) for our engagement shoot. What an amazing way to spend a hungover Sunday morning (the night before was Katie's very surprise, very drunk birthday party and things got a little out of hand... in the best way possible). Richard and I both had our hesitations about an engagement shoot, but I agreed for him and he agreed for me.
I have no regrets.
Ken was fun and enthusiastic, innovative (which is a cheap 'buzz' word, but highly appropriate) and thoughtful. We spent almost 3 hours taking pictures all over the place. We started with the bikes on the lawn, then shed our gear and moved to the garden making our way down to the waterfront before re-gearing up and heading out on the bikes for some shots in motion.
We both had a great time and hopefully we got some amazing pictures, which I intend to share via this blog.
It should be about two weeks... which is insanely fast compared to what we expected.
All and all it was a great weekend and after thoroughly exploring our wedding venue I am happy to say I am thrilled to be marrying the man of my dreams there.
