I can't show you, but I want too!
This past weekend I took my MOH and met up with my Mum in Kingston to try on dresses for the first time. It took a little time to get used to me in a wedding dress, but once I found the groove, there was no turning back. I would have happily spent the entire day at Bridal Creations in Kingston.
I worked with Erika and Kelli, who were adorable and SO helpful. I didn't help much, when they asked what I was looking for I said 'a dress'. When they asked what kind of dress, I said 'a wedding dress'. I think a one point I even said 'I am here so I am not naked on my wedding day.'
So yes, I was a NO help.
I pulled a few, that were terrible... they pulled a few, which were stunning and in the end there were two dresses I didn't want to take off and one that fit my dream wedding day.
I wish I could end on a high note, but the day did take a turn. We stopped for lunch and cupcakes - Mmmm. Then made our way over to the next bridal store. What. A. Mess. We walked in on a high from the previous experience and were smacked in the face by reality. This place didn't take appointments and didn't care much to help you. We waited for someone at the door and announced we were here to try on dresses, she replied 'There they are, dressing rooms are in the back.' and walked away.
We jumped in and started looking through the racks, it was all discounted, old, crap. Finally we left because, and I quote, 'there is nothing I want to take my clothes off for.'
All and all it was a great day and a much needed catch up (a 6 hour car ride will do that) with my best friend.
I can't wait to gather a gaggle of ladies and try on some more dresses.
Cheers!
