Busy wedding weekend... Friday I met up with Cassy and showed her my dress, while trying on a few more. In my worst dress experience yet. I really expected Toronto to put on a better show than Kingston, but thus far Kingston (Bridal Creations) has been the best experience. The place was just what TV taught me to expect.
I am 100% sure of my decision on my dress... and do feel the connection I am suppose too. The same feeling I thought I would never feel, because I am not that girl... although after this weekend I am more 'that girl' than I would like to admit.
Now I just have to figure out how to GET the dress. I originally planned on having my dress made, but my seamstress has gone MIA and with the clock refusing to stop I am running out of time to order my dress if I have too. I feel a little panicked, but I am sure it will work out.
I can order my dress from several places, but I am feeling loyal to Kingston... although I don't want to do the drive for fittings, I would love to order my dress from them.
I found another dress... not for myself, but for my bridesmaids. Its the same dress I originally fell in love with at my first dress experience... in Kingston. The good news is Cheryl loved it as well and when I showed it to Cassy she liked it too.Yay! It's a little different, which I love. It's a cocktail length print dress and... wait! I can show you... no surprises there.
What do you think? I talked it over with Cassy and I think would pick the yellow swatch. The green isn't quite the colour I am searching for. Although the more we look at dresses the more apparent it is becoming that 'my green' isn't easy to find. Although I rarely, as a child, dreamt of my wedding I did always picture the girls in yellow and only gave up that idea when not everyone was on board with a yellow dress. Luckily for me both Cheryl and Cassy have agreed to whatever I like... and I like yellow. We will have to shuffle the men's attire around a little bit, but I think it will work out better in the long run. The men will no longer wear any colour. Richard gets his all white and everyone wins. Yay!
Then, as if we hadn't made enough wedding decisions, we stopped by a florist to look at trees and I fell in love with Myrtle.
What a great little tree... perfect for the middle of the table and the florist said we could easily dress it up with little flowers inside the green *swoon*. Its a little bit expensive, but with Jan's help I think we can figure it out. I also talked to the florist about my bouquet... she suggested I move the wedding or change my flower... not going to happen. I feel like I have give up so much to have this wedding that I am not willing to give up anything else. I will have a bouquet of yellow tulips!!
I think that is it.
I am so excited to move ahead with plans... only 12 more days until Dave and Cassy become Mr & Mrs... love is in the air and I am a total dork.
Love!
