I went dress shopping with the in-laws on Saturday. I am happy to say it made my dress choice even easier... I am in love with the dress I chose and even after trying on a few more I am still in love with the same dress. Maybe I am not the type to cry and gush over a dress. I am just glad that is resolved.
It was quite the different experience shopping with Richards family (whom I love as my own). My Mum (and Cheryl) and I have similar taste. We fell in love with the same dresses and hated the same dresses. It was fun, easy and comfortable.
Shopping with Richards family was interesting, because we never really agreed on a dress. Although their taste was impeccable and the dresses they chose were beautiful (and flattering) they weren't me. Its a weird sensation to stare in the mirror and beg for some recognition, because its a beautiful gown, but to see only a beautiful gown not 'my dress'.
It was a lovely afternoon... Aunt Sue treated us to lunch afterwards and gelato.
I am really glad I got to share this experience with these two ladies and even more thrilled that they wanted to share it with me.
I have one more dress venture (to re-visit my dress with Cassy) and then its over. Although its fun I am glad to have that chapter done with... the rest is just details. I have my groom, my venue and my dress ;)
Love!
